You have not lived until you've seen a 5-gallon tank of propane explode, with the lights of Las Vegas behind you.

The hosts and attendees were all real nice people.  They have a good relationship with the BLM rangers for the area:  We don't trash the place, and they let us do pretty much anything.  The location is easy to get to and ideal for a casual shoot.  There isn't much to burn.

People will post some pics and videos soon.  Hopefully you'll get to see my tripod mounted AR-50 in action.

It was well worth the drive up I-15 from San Diego even though I got there late.  I did get to observe and participate in the night shoot.  Reactive targets included gasoline, sacks of flour, and Tannerite.  Tracers flew.  50 BMG incendiary rounds made bright splashes of color or intense little magnesium fires depending on what they hit.

I called a friend on my cell phone so he could hear the full auto and bump fire.  All the fun things you'd like to do but your range in Cali won't allow it.  Sane, sober people, simple rules, and no range Nazis.  Next time I go I'll get there in time for the food.

Nevada folks will post announcements for future shoots on this and the Nevada hometown board.  They are happy to have us political prisoners come up to visit.  Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you want to spend the night after the shoot in a clean inexpensive hotel, the town of Jean is just 13 miles back toard the CA border.  There were tons of rooms available Saturday night.  Food is available in abundance as well.  One of the casino/hotels offers prime rib for some ridiculously low price 24 hours a day.  And there's always Las Vegas if you're into that.

Thanks for the kind words kid!  You are welcome anytime.  I am glad you checked out Jean, we were a little worried about you trying to drive all the way back that night.

I ended up with very few pics from Saturday and I have not even uploaded the video yet but here are a couple of stills for now......

Just wanted to say THANKS LarryG36 for letting me shoot your HK and AR-15. The rock and roll with those weapons was a blast and even my girlfriend loved it! Her favorite was the HK. It was my first DBS shoot and I *WILL*  be going again in the near future. Thanks everyone who attended for being so nice and friendly to a newbie!

I went and it was great!

I tracked down an old friend from high school the week before I went, and while he did not go, he most likely will be going to the next one. I sure as hell will (Assuming it's less than a 100 degrees)!

I even think this is me. I am not sure, since I don't remember talking to that girl, but it does look like me. I think I was showing off my Garmin GPS, as it is my favorite thing to show off.
