Pretty much bygone days I'm afraid. There was a shop here in town that fit that bill but the owner died early last year and no one took over the reins and it shut down.
When I was a kid and lived in Nevada there was one of those shops (can't recall the name) in Verdi, NV. The second you walked in you knew it was the real deal just by the smell of gun grease, Ballistol and Hoppes #9. Handguns (mostly revolvers) filled the display cases and rifles and shotguns lined the walls, that was back in the 1950s and 60s. Like I said "bygone days." As far as Harry Beckwith goes... they broke the mold after God made him - what a character he was.  |

Have you been to AW Petersen in Mt. Dora, Pat's Pawn & Gun in Leesburg, Ocala Armory in Ocala, Core 15 in Ocala, Nordic Pawn in Wildwood?
I've not been to any of those places in a good while but use to hit them regularly looking for used guns. I've not been to Ocala Armory since they moved. |

We went to Bill Jacksons in St. Pete yesterday and the had a pretty decent selection and a bunch of ammo. They are limiting the number of boxes but if you need ammo they have it. Tons of AR accessories on the shelf.
