Gun–Grabbers are Treating the Constitution Like Used Toilet Paper

As of the date this is being written, at least eleven, that’s right, ELEVEN, anti-gun bills have been introduced in the Florida House and Senate.

It is time to tell your Representative and Senator that you’re fully against these bills and that they need to vote against them in committee and block them from ever reaching the floor for a full vote.  

Urge these leaders to refuse to assign anti-gun bills to committee and to ensure that these bills never get a floor vote.  

The Assault on Your Rights

SB 186 is a radical gun confiscation scheme goes far beyond the (Federal) Lautenberg Amendment on Domestic Violence. It does so by making so called “Red Flag” gun confiscation Laws even worse by allowing more frivolous claims to be filed against an innocent person. SB 186 denies people their Fourth Amendment rights and Second Amendment rights, all in one bill.  

SB 330 is a bill that makes selling, giving or loaning a firearm to a friend, neighbor or family member without FDLE approval a criminal offense. We call it a “sell a gun to a friend and go to jail” bill.

SB 370 is a semi-automatic firearm and magazine ban bill, similar to the Clinton/Biden/Schumer gun ban in effect from 1994 – 2004. However, there is no sunset clause, and you can’t transfer ownership of the pre-banned items since they must be registered to you. Of course, you know that registration leads to eventual confiscation.  

SB 372 is a ban on homemade firearms and parts and 80% receivers — and even goes so far to target 3D printing.  

SB 428, SB 294, and HB 167 are mandatory storage bills that require firearms to be locked up in your house, making self-defense in the event of a home invasion close to impossible. They are trying to institute a similar law that was in place in our Nation’s Capital prior to DC v. Heller.  

HB 25 requires a background check for ammunition sales and will most certainly end the online and mail order sale of ammunition — and could possibly drive-up prices locally due to the increased workload on local dealers. In an attempt to trick uninformed gun owners into mistakenly supporting HB 25, they have also introduced HB 27 making background check records exempt from “online sunshine” public records requests.

SB 672 and HB 6033 repeal the states preemption laws that forbid any municipality from passing their own gun control laws. That means that if this bill passes, there would be a patch work of laws that ban firearms and magazines across the state.



As a Second Amendment Activist, here’s what you can do!

GOA will be fighting all of these bills, but we need your help. In order for me to be effective at the capitol, I need you to contact your representative and senator so they know that GOA is backed by tens of thousands of gun owners.  

Remember folks, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Be loud, be proud, and be ACTIVE.

So contact your Representative and Senator using the form above, and demand that they every single one of the bills mentioned above.

And if you have time, please urge the House Speaker and Senate President and give ’em a good piece of your mind and demand that they block any legislation that attacks your Constitutional Rights.

Yup, Sen. Baxley said it best back in 2019:
"Republican Lawmakers don't support pro-gun legislation because they don't hear any negative criticism from their constituency. They take the silence of gun owners as approval."

There has been no positive action towards any pro-gun bill by Governor Ron DeSantis (R). When he was running for office in 2018, he attended the  Republican Party of Florida's Sunshine Summit and he openly stated that if he were Governor at the time, he'd have vetoed SB 7026. The Gun Control legislation that was passed by a Republican Supermajority Legislature and signed into law by then Governor and now Senator Rick Scott (R). We are now in 2021 and he's yet to use his office as a bully pulpit to support pro-gun legislation. He's yet to openly support a single pro-gun bill. Not a one.

We have 102 Republicans in the House and Senate and we can count the pro-gun on one hand. only five, FIVE PRO-GUN BILLS have been submitted this legislative session. Constitutional Carry, Campus Carry, the Repeal of the Gun/Ammo Sales Ban during Declared States of Emergency, and CCW at Religious Institutions if they have a School on their Property. That was introduced twice, one in the House and the other in the Senate.

The first three I mentioned were all introduced by Rep. Sabatini. They aren't moving at all in the House. Only the CCW Church bill is. Why? Because it is the weakest bill out of them all that barely changes anything. Furthermore, that bill was introduced in the Senate by the RPOF Chair, Sen. Joe Gruters. He voted in favor of the Parkland gun control and he's the guy that introduced SB 498 this session. The current Speaker of the House and Senate President also voted in favor of the Parkland Gun Control bill. Five other anti-gun Republicans voted in favor of Gruters' bill.





Why would they vote for the bill introduced by the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida? With 2022 election coming up, the Anti-Gun Republicans need to make their voting records look Pro Second Amendment. They're trying to memory wipe the voter base to make it appear that they're Pro-Gun.

The Democrats have introduced numerous gun controls and continued to do so. The Republicans didn't introduce anything. The only actual legit pro-gun bills introduced this session was by one man. And no one is Co-Sponsoring those bills. The Republicans are instead backing a weak bill that barely does anything.

The weak and timid are always afraid to go all out. Stop being weak and timid. Go all out and demand that your rights be expanded. Fuck the game of playing defense. You are defending gun grabbing Republicans.
