Yeah, life sure sucks down here in Florida...I mean, just the other day I was out shooting machine guns with some of the www.floridashootersnetwork.com guys at Pop,s...and I almost didn't make it home in time to go fishing and catch that gigantic snook.
I just BARELY made it to the boat ramp in time to meet my friends, because I had to stop and help this poor bikini clad (in December) 22 year old blond change her flat tire on the side of the road.
And the worst part...she tracked some sand onto the floor mat of my Durango from her sandals when I let her sit in there while I took care of her flat...And I almost got BRAIN FREEZE from the frozen rum runner she brought me from across the street.
Yeah....Florida SUCKS!

To all those who aren't fortunate enough to live in Florida (the parts that still speak English, anyway...)

Yesterday, New Year's Day, was characterized by clear blue skies, lots of sun, and temperatures in the upper 70's.  The winter has been mild enough that as I write this, my nephews are splashing in my pool.  The water isn't cool enough to keep me out of it, either.

The only bad thing about this state is that there are too many invaders coming in from other states, wrecking the view with all the damned condos on the beach and congesting the roads, and turning all the cool open land into uncool housing developments.

An acre of woods is worth more than a thousand acres of housing, in my opinion.

Howdy y'all. I'm an honest to God Florida Native(as is my son, and grandson - yeah, we're an endangered species, I know) that resides in Lakeland. I've only missed 6 states, out of the 50 (I'm a pipefitter by trade), and there's no place like home! Think those Nawthunahs & Canucks are bad down here?? Ya oughtta see 'em on their home turf!! Thank God they haven't been able (yet!) to turn what's left of our state into what they've abandoned where they've come from. Not that there's any lack of good folks in other states - hell, I've got friends (firearms friendly, of course) all over the country, but WHY do so many of 'em have to leave their brains in their home state(s) when they come here? :-}
