I've seen and own probably dozens of Training DVD's. Before I was able to find classes to take, I watched videos (yeah, thats right... VHS!) by many of the instructors I've eventually taken classes from. Bill Jeans (on the Gunsite videos), Gabe Suarez, Ken Hackathorn, Thunder Ranch, Massad Ayoob, Andy Stanford and a lot more. I learned quite a bit from all of these videos, and I'd like to think by the time I took my first class, I was a little ahead of the curve. Not that I didnt make mistakes like everyone else out there, but I think the videos helped me be aware of mistakes I was making and quickly recognize what to do correct them.
These videos were no substitution for training, but I thought they were very valuable to me when I was unable to take classes. Over the years I have loaned copies of my tapes to others who were in similar circumstances, and I believe they were helpful to them as well.

Magpul Dynamics has been sharing some of the footage from a series of upcoming training dvd's they have been working on. I was lucky to have taken a couple of the classes where these dvd's were being filmed. What I've seen has been so much better than what I own or have watched previously. The entire approach Magpul Dynamics and Legion Productions (the company producing the dvd's) has taken towards this project is 180 degrees from anything I've seen.
Here's a promo for the upcoming dvd. I'm excited about it.
