THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!  THE SHOOT/RAFFLE WILL GO ON!

On July first the guys form the FL HT section will be hosting a shoot in Homestead FL. Food, Guns and Raffles are expected.  (shoot not associated with ar15.com or run by any organization or individual.  Its just a bunch of guys getting together to shoot and collect donations for the Wounded Warrior Project.)

When: Sunday July 1, 2007 - 11am to Dusk
Where: Henry's Range - Homestead FL (see below for directions)
Why: 100% of Proceeds to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
Admission: $10 for the entire day and includes free food.
$1 Main Raffle Tickets - $10 for tickets for the DPMS Rifle.  Everyone must be present to win an item.

If you plan on attending PLEASE post it here along with how many people you will bring along so we can plan accordingly.

Current list offered for Food/Drinks/Misc Items donated and by who ...

CATTENTION ANYONE BRINGING FOOD/DRINKS/ETC -- PLEASE CONFIRM BELOW:

MiamiAir -- The napkins/cups/plates you said you were going to bring.  Can you bring for about 75 people?  You also offered Soda.  Can you bring about 36 Sodas?

Talon-IV -- You offered hot dogs/sausages.  Instead of hot dogs, can you just bring the Sausages and Buns for them?  What Qty can you bring?

MacDude -- You offered drinks/hot dogs/ice.  Can you bring 30 burger buns instead of the hot dogs and still bring ICE and get some Gatorade?  How many Gatorade's can you bring?

YacoTaco -- You offered 30 Burgers and Buns for the burgers.  Your Good-2-Go.

I could bring a few subguns, and let people shoot a mag for let's say $10.00 each or people could supply their own ammo (no reloads), and I could charge $5.00 each (all of which would be donated).
I would donate all the profits to the "cause"....

I would set up a table on the shooting line, and load the gun for people (and the mags) and help beginner’s shoot the guns.....It's just an idea that someone gave me

It is something I would like to do BUT I for see and issue with it.  There is not light an Henry's range and obviously we need to do this at night.

Im waiting to see if we get a little more of a response for this shoot.  Right now it does not look good and I think its just going to be canceled.

Its not about how many -- If we are going to get Henry to donate the range and get others to donate so many items then  we need a real good turnout to make it worth wild for the sponsors of the event.

Its probably an issue with the July 4th weekend.  At worst I think we are just going to need to reschedule.

Let me add a six foot tall Mickey Mouse to be shot for war crimes.  My buddy wants to shoot it, not blow it up.  So I say we give Mickey a cigarette, let him face the firing squad, and after we're done, we give hime a tannerite suppository and send his remains to mouse heaven...

as usual I'll be there assiting good ol' BBQ Master Schmekel. I'll be dragging along my buddy who will be flying in from the liberal zone of Minnesota to breath the sweet air of freedom for two weeks. I'll check again whats needed the day before the shoot and I'll see what I can bring.

I need everyone to ask their local gunstores if they have something to donate for the auction.

I will be bringing my newly acquired May 2007 paper airplane for everyone to try to shoot at it.

It will have a small motor installed in it, and autopilot.

It might be circling Omi's head for most of the day (it has "annoying mosquito" mode on the autopilot).

I have emailed most of the local gunshops for donations.  Lets get-r-done !!!

Awesome !!  The goodies are rolling in guys ...  I'm going to pick up the raffle tickets tomorrow.

I just created a simple reactive target for a draw/shoot/reload/shoot competition at the shoot.

Idea behind it is simple, 13 targets as fast as you can from the holster.  You are limited to 15 rounds.  Must have at least 1 reload.  Fastest time with the most hits wins.

We can also run it with SMG's and Rifles.  Yes Term you can "try" full Auto :)

I have 2 setup but we will need a couple of volunteers who like blowing ...  I think we will be ok for volunteers considering some of the names on the "attending" list ???
