Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Reccomondations for Miami/Ft Lauderdale gun shops or range for first time shooter?

I have a buddy down in the Miami/Lauderdale area that would ilke to get a handgun and learn to shoot.  
I'm not close by so I was looking for a shop or rental range that could accomodate him.  

Alot of the shops I've been to up here are staffed by know-it-all type personalities so I was hoping to be able to refer him to a shop w/ a positive and non-condesending attitude.

Stay away from Aces ... Florida Gun center has a nice range but I like Charlie's Armory and lou's as the best shops to buy in the Miami area.

I would recommend a class at Eagle tactics to learn about guns ...  Best bang for the buck ...
