Has anyone heard of any problems running the steel cased WOLF ammo thru Ar's? Of course you can get it off the internet, just kindof curious if it causes any damage during the ejection cycle especially to the spent brass deflector, since it is steel with a rough finish and not brass.

don't worry about it, try some before youi buy 1000 rounds though. Some guns eat it up with no problem, while other may not like it at all.

I tried an endurance test with poly coated wolf last summer and over the course
of three time to the range my Bushy M4 went a total of 1060 rnds before I
cleaned it with zero malfs.  I should have taken pics but I didn't.  I only cleaned it
because my OCD was eating away at me and I had to ease my mind.  But I would
try it in your gun first before buying large amounts as some hate this ammo.

7500 rounds through my M-16A1 with no problems so far.

Wolf ammo is FINE, it will NOT hurt your firearm, it is a little dirty but for the savings over brass cases is more than enough to make that a moot point.

I have shot THOUSANDS of rounds of Wolf, I have only had 1 malfuction. I will continue to use it and save money over brass cased stuff, which means more stuff for me

Many K's of rounds, both 5.56 and 7.62x39, thru my M16 with no appreciable damage to the case deflector(s).

I use the polymer coated Wolf--only problems were mag. related. It is alittle dirty though.

I use the HELL out of it in all or my AR's and AK's of course. 1000's of rounds and never an ammo related problems. Like they said, buy a couple boxes first, see if your gun likes it(it probably will) and then start saving $$$$

I shot about 500 rounds of it, and then saw how dirty my rifle was.
Use different ammo now

1000+ through my RRA no problems  Like everyone says a little Dirty.....

Try a couple of boxes first.  I found $3/20 polymer at a local gunshop in Miami.

I think you will be pleased with the results-

I have been through about 400 rounds of .223 and about 1000 7.62x39, no problems at all. I still have about 2k rounds of 7.62 in the closet (great deal at Cabelas last year $77/1000).

Never tried the Wolf handgun ammo before. Have seen a bunch of posts where people have had problems with Wolf .45 in different handguns that work fine with any other factory ammo. I'll probably stay away from the handgun calibers but I haven't had any problems with rifle ammo.

wolf pistol ammo wouldn't even chamber in my 40's (sti and kahr). i didn't try my other 40's so?

No it will not cause any damage to your rifle at all.

My Bushmaster eats Wolf all day and night, it's all I ever shoot at Markham Park because there's no reason to pay $50-$100 more for higher quality ammo that will punch the same hole in the same paper, and at only 100 yards which is the most Markham Park goes out to, any differences in accuracy are negligible at best.  

It's not like i'm using it for matches or home defense, I have other ammo suited for those purposes and I can get almost double the trigger time for half the price as most other ammo.  I also don't feel so bad when I go out there and go through 500+ rounds in one range session because the stuff is so dirt cheap.

Sure it will make your rifle more dirty than higher quality brass cased ammo, but who cares?  You should be cleaning your rifle after every trip to the range anyways so it makes no difference.

I don't shoot Wolf through my Sig or Beretta though, no reason to when there's other cheap practice ammo out there like CCI Blazer or Lancer Ammo.
