That would be nice, betwen Manatee, Sarasota, Port charlotte and Desoto counties you should be able to come up with a few people. I would love to go to the FDCC shoot, but it's a long drive from Myakka.

We did one at Manatee last spring, the rest have been in Punta Gorda.

Shooting Manatees is not very good sport, due to their docility, lack of speed and humongous size. I don't care how good they taste.  |

Aren't they illegal to shoot? And wouldn't it be kinda hard to aim your gun while the boat is rocking up and down? |

The thing to do is pick a date, a location, a time, and let everyone move their schedules accordingly. If you give multiple choice to ppl then they will take just that, MULTIPLE choices. Just set a date and time in stone, and don't move it. If someone doesn't like the time or date, then perhaps they can go to the next one. But don't move what you set. Whatever you decide on, TAKE TONS OF PICS!!! |

Had fun out there at the Manatee gun club. Got to meet Cutter1 and his daughter, very nice people.
Bought a membership at the range as well, very AR friendly place. I can't recall going to a range and seeing more AR-15s and even more M-14s along with some HKs. The military type weapons out-numbered the hunting and target shooting rifles 2 to 1. This place has a gong set up at 565 yards, and a target board at 1000 yards as well as target posts at 100, 200 and 300 yards. Also the 50 yard range and berm allow you to shoot more than just paper targets (clay pigeons, soda cans, ect.)

Had a good time at manatee gun club with MyakkaVice.It was a busy day with many different weapons including a 50 bmg forgot to take his pic though.
Caught MyakkaVice in action he is in #25 hope we can get another shoot set for a later date. Maybe get some more florida crew there.CrackerBill went missing in action.   |
