Each shoot seems to be better than the previous and the last one was no exception. Once again there was Gun Shot Residue (a ton of it), good friends, and of course good eating. Even had a visit from the "Ghost of Cecil Webb" while out there.
This shoot will make it the first of the New Year. Decided to blow this one out there quick so we can get 2006 off to a good start. Not to mention some whiney complaints from Rich. LOL Anyway, make sure you make it out to this one. If the trend continues, the fun will just increase and this one will be the best one to date. All necessary information is below. Click here to watch a video of the last shoot. ---------- When Sunday, January 8th, 9:00 AM Where (see directions below) Babcock/Webb Wildlife Management Area Shooting Range 29200 Tucker Grade Road Punta Gorda, FL 33955. Phone: 941-575-5768 Cost (per person) $3.00 per person at the unattended entrance (there's a yellow post) ---------- Maps and Directions  .  . From North Head south on I-75 to Exit 158 (Tucker Grade) Turn left on Tucker Grade and drive straight and you will drive right into the park. From South Head north on I-75 to Exit 158 (Tucker Grade) Turn right on Tucker Grade and drive straight and you will drive right into the park. Directions To the Range Stop at the Entrance (sign and Yellow Post to your right) After paying the park entrance fee, continue straight on the dirt road. About 1/2 mile down the dirt road, you will see the Ranges on the left.  When pulling into the Ranges, you will see four (4) ranges. The first one is the long range, second is the Pistol and Rifle Range, the third is a 100-yard rifle and pistol range (really nice), and the very end will be the Shotgun Range. Guys, I want to throw an idea out there. Not this shoot, but the next. I would like to suggest a Team SWFLA camping/shooting weekend. We need to find a spot where we can camp, and then go shooting. I am thinking Ocala, or North Florida somewhere. I am picturing a Friday afternoon drive up, set up camp, grill(we can do that). maybe a few adult beverages for those that partake, and up on Saturday, go shooting, stay over again Saturday night and come home Sunday.

you can camp at cecil web that paved road that goes off to the right before the ranger station is where the campsites are at. there are picnic tables and fire rings there.
in the ONF clear water lake is nice. running water, hot showers, campgrounds with electricity. i'm up for either. also in the forest some of the campgrounds can be completely rented out for groups. In March the Florida MAG has one of the camp sites competely rented out. I've got ALOT of camping gear so if someone needs to borrow a tent or a stove I've got extra. |

alright ive got that sunday off !!!!!!!
 camping sounds good but i work EVERY saturday  sorry..... maybe i could pop up and hang for awile IF it's at the web...just picked up some new cammera gear, new lens's and a wide angle lens. now i just need to remember to set the tape speed higher... also bringing out some old toys(and new ones) to play with, jj you bringing you ak and drum again? maybe i can get the FN parts i need and ill finaly finish building it and bring that out too......
