Depending on which side of town you're on, I'd suggest using one of the two I've had good luck with:
Jimmy's III Pawn Shop in Mandarin All County Trading Pawn Shop in Atlantic Beach They each charge around $25-$35 for a rifle transfer and background check. |

Best Pawn & Gun on Lane near Manotak/London Towne is reasonable.

I ended up using Fox's Pawn right down the block from the BellSouth Tower on Bay Street. Very convenient since I work in the BS Tower and the fees were as good or better than anyone else I talked to in Jax. The only downside is it is a fee per piece - no combined fees, but there are several places here charging 10% with a $35 - $50 minimum for a transfer - some adding tax and the background check on top of that!

Where is this FOX PAWN at on Bay Street. That is close to me. I work off San Marco, might have to check it out.
