Anti-Tilt Buffers $90-$125 This is the original Anti-Tilt buffer, designed to prevent excessive wear to the receiver extension (buffer tube) caused by bolt carrier tilt/cant in the popular piston-driven ARs. The elongated head of the buffer is centered in the bolt carrier by the 'nipple'. This setup prevents contact between the bolt carrier and the buffer tube. Tested and proven with Adams Arms, POF, Stag Arms, Ruger, CMMG, LWRC, LMT, HK, PWS, Osprey Defense, and others. Please notify me if you have an LMT or ARES Defense upper, their carriers are slightly different and require a custom buffer (same price). Newer PWS uppers also use the special buffer. The buffer is constructed from 303 Stainless Steel for a lifetime of trouble-free performance. There are no moving parts to break, and no messy fluids/powders to leak out. A foolproof design for flawless operation of your weapon. The head is polished to further reduce the possibility of buffer tube damage. Internal weights are either steel or Tungsten, depending on desired finished weight. Total mass can vary from 4.0 ounces up to 8.5 ounces. This product is for carbine-length stocks only, a spacer ($15) is required for use with rifle-length stocks. I also offer rifle-length Anti-Tilt buffers, see below. I recommend an H3 (5.5 ounce) buffer for most applications with the following exceptions:
Some standard OEM and aftermarket springs from other manufacturers will cause malfunctions. 'Flat-Wire' springs are not recommended in any case. Pricing: H - 4.0 ounces - $90 H2 - 4.5 ounces - $90 H3 - 5.5 ounces - $95 H4 - 6.5 ounces - $105 XH - 8.5 ounces - $125 I also offer a 'Kit' that allows the user to "tune" the buffer to his particular firearm/ammo, from 4.5 - 6.5 ounces - $125 More Info Here: Anti-Tilt Buffers Questions? Please contact me via email, NOT IM. Quantity/dealer discounts available on orders of five or more buffers. |

Does the nipple portion of the buffer remain inside of the opened end of the bolt carrier when the upper is mated (closed) with the lower. If so, how do you separate the upper from the lower when the rear takedown pin is slid open?

|
|
[#4]
You just push out both pins, slide the upper receiver forward slightly, then lift it off the lower.

new to this forum, but joined to help with my SBR build. It's got an adams arms piston set up on a 10.5" barrel. Can you recommend a buffer weight based on that information?
|
|
|
[#20]
I recommend an H3 Anti-Tilt buffer and a Wolff XP buffer spring.
If you will be using a suppressor you should consider upgrading to an XH Anti-Tilt buffer. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I've been using one of these for a little over a year in my LWRC M6A2 upper/DPMS M4gery lower (UBR stock), over 1000rds down range and zero sign of wear.

I'm building a 7.62x39 AR 16" carbine with an Adams arm piston kit. I'll shoot a lot of steel cased along with brass. Should I go with the H2 buffer set up

Thank you.
I've been trying to place an order off and on for a few days with two different computers and an iPad. When I try to place the buffer and wolff spring in the cart, the system tells me my session has timed out and to refresh it. Doesn't work. If I'm doing something wrong please tell me as it certainly wouldn't be the first time. |
