Anyone tried a 40 round HK93 mag in their V93 or HK93 or C93 with any problems? I tried a steel 30 round mag with no problems. Yet, trying a 40 round mag failed to allow the cocking lever/bolt carrier to slam home when slap-released. I tried it several times, just didn't work. After a few more tries and starting with the cocking lever full forward and then inserting a new mag, it finally loaded the first round and worked fine from that point on. I only had 20 rounds loaded so wasn't a tight mag. Mags were like new. Rifle functioned perfectly however.

It has to be the mag. I built a 93 on a vector reciever and have 6 40 round mags and all work flawless.

+1. I have an HK93 and a Vector V53 and 40 round mags fit and function in both guns flawlessly.

I've had a similar problem with my V53 pistol. The gun came with one 40 rd aluminum mag. it would not strip and chamber the first rd out of the mag even if I loaded only 8 to 10 rounds in the thing.

I applied white lithium grease to the rails (which are round not square BTW) and took it out again.

Function improved and it now strips & feeds with 20 to 30 rounds loaded in the mag. I don't think I've stuffed it full with all 40 yet.

My gun, purchased new, did not arrive with the grease on the carrier & rails as the other Vectors I've seen.

One of my 40 rds locks in , but the other mag doesn't. I haven't cleaned the gun yet so I am hoping it works later on. I always heard stories about how dirty CIA guns were, mine is absolutely filthy.

My V93 works fine with 7 40 rounders, 3 25 rounders and 3 30 rounders.
The rails are round, and I did have to tweak the extractor spring after about 150 rounds ( was getting FTE's )

the bore guide I make, now feature slots that a flat bottomed ;-), so the fit Vectors AND original HK's.

No one else on the planet makes a 93 bore guide.

I was just at the range yesterday with my C93 and 40 rnd. mags. I was only loading about 15 rnds. in each but they worked just fine.
