I'm looking for a good HK Type Rifle and have been found an Indep Clone, but don't know anything about it. Anyone have info. Thanks.

The receiver was manufactured by INDEP (Industrias Nacionias Defesa E.P.) in Portugal, and imported by Century Arms International (CAI) of Georgia, VT.

INDEP is a large Portuguese defense company and the parent company of FMP (Fabrica Militar de Portugal) and FNM, a Portuguese ammunition mfgr. Some of the INDEP receivers are somewhat out of spec as compared to FMP/HK receivers, but can still be quite a good gun depending on who assembled it.

Indep receivers are great, but you need to know who built the clone.  If it says "imported by" some company, it was built in Portugal, and is very good.     Otherwise, it is an imported receiver from Portugal and built by someon here in the states.

Do you have any more info on it?
