Do you shoot yours regularly?  I put about 600-800 rnds a year through mine.  Is yours a safe queen or a shooter?  If you don't shoot yours, do you have a PTR to shoot?

I have an SR-9, does that count?

It is set up as an SR9-T clone w/ PSG trigger and Leupold scope.  A couple of trips to the range a year.

I'm the original owner of my '91. Bought it with the cash I had left over after basic training. So much for being indoctrinated into the AR15/M16 state of mind at the time...

I shot it regularly until about 2 years ago when I got into 3-gun shooting, then got into ARs big time.

I have an orginal that I have used for years.  It is in the back of the safe, but I get it out two or three times a year for fun.  I wish I would have bought a couple of more when they first came over.

Have an unfired A3 in the safe.  Am thinking of picking up a JLD as a shooter.

I have one to shoot, one in reserve, and am thinking about getting a PTR to shoot. I just can't find a PTR that matches the balance of an HK.

i don't buy "collectable guns" if i buy it, i will shoot it.  although i have nothing against people who buy for investments.

if you want HK quality at a good price, find a Portugal FMP.  and save the investment rifle.

Have an original A3. Swapped the stock for a fixed one.  It gets shot once or twice a year.  Length of pull is too short.  I have wanted a namibian stock for years.  Haven't found one yet.

Have an Hk 91 with a polygonal barrel.  From what the dealer I bought it from said I am its third owner.  The other two bought it and put a couple of boxes of ammo through it and sold it back to the gundealer.   Everytime he bought it back and  resold it he obviously sold it for several hundred more.  In fact, he said if I ever wanted to get rid of it he would buy it back.  That was probably 15 or so years ago.   I still own it and like most of my Hk weapons I have never shot it.

I shoot mine. I just put a stock extender and a new scope on mine. I put about 1000 rounds through it this year. I just bought an HK93 to keep it company. I will shoot that this weekend.

I still have the HK 91 I bought back in the eighties for $400.  I don't shoot it  much as
I  now use the HKclones but do occasionaly take it out to run a few rounds thru it.

I really don't need it (as I don't any of the other HKs) since the clones make for
better alternative if lost or stolen.  However, I can't bring myself to get rid of them
either.

My German HK91, date code 1974, was converted into a HK51!  I have at least 500 rounds through the HK51 and it works fabulous.  My long rifle HK91 is a JLD receiver + FMP parts kit and after 300 rounds, it works flawlessly too.

No safe queens for me.  I buy and own gun to shoot, not to take up room in the safe.
Shoot and clean them everytime.

LV, You have an HK 91 with a 1974 date on it? I thought HK only brought in 41s that year.

My HK is set up with a MSG90 trigger group, MSG90 stock, 6X Hendsoldt on claw, and bipod. It gets fired a few times a year, just to make certain the optics are still accurately sighted for long range marksmanship.
