Has anybody had any expereience with them? I fondled one at the show last weekend, seem nice. The only thing that I noticed was the CH wasn't as smooth to unlock as I remember the originals I've seen. Otherwise seemed fine. For under 500 it seemed like a deal. I just got a new battle rifle (M14) and don't really need another one, especially a semi, but I've always lusted after them and that price seems too good to be true. Plus I do see a sear pack in my future.

No. These are stamped recievers, and seem comprable quality to the Vector MP5/94 clones I was fondling. I don't think I'd consider a cast for parts even.

Long ago I bought one, and the front sight was canted (read ran out of room on the rear sight moving it right and still wasn't  zeroed).  Sent that one back and the next one was even worse.  Third rifle received in exchange for the second had the cocking tube welded too far forward, and you had to kick the charging handle to get the bolt roller to unlock from the trunion (still wouldn't sight in). Said screw it, got a refund on the third rifle and built a FMP.

Point blank, the rifles are built out of worn out kits, and getting one that produced form parts that are not worn out, built correctly, and will sight in without having to send it back is a 10% chance at best.

CAI CETME or G3 are hit or miss, but depending on the problem they can normally be fixed.  Check out cetmerifles.com
