Well, here's my MP5SD with an old Reflex sight using the ARMS Trijicon receiver mount, probably of no help to you though.  This is an old pic, everything has been updated, but I do enjoy the throw lever ARMS receiver mounted rail.

Does ARMS make an MP5 handguard?
Here is the KAC model:

Can you actually hold the K grip with a Beta-C in there?

So, mounting anything with the ARMS throwlever mount removes the ability to colocate.

In terms of mounts, which mount is the best option to use with an ARMS 22M68 throw lever ring, no spacer ?

what would I need to do to SBR this in terms of barrel purchase?  Is the barrel user-attachable or does a professional have to do it?

It depends on what you want:

In any event, an approved Form 1 must come first.

Then, you have a few options... none are really easily done.

Option 1:  Have someone remove the 94 barrel and install a MP5 barrel.  This takes a skilled machinest with a multi-ton press to take the barrel out and to put the new one in.  Alos includes cuttine welds and re-welding/refinishing.

Option 2: Send it to one of the few smiths (I think S&H is one) who has a jig that he can cut down and thread the barrel without removing the barrel from the host.  Then, a 3-lug adapter is permanently attached...  The examples I have seen, are excellent, and you cannot tell a barrel extension has been added.

Option 3: Have a skilled machinest cut down and crown the barrel.  This will be your cheapest option, but you will not have a true MP5 look.  No 3-lug barrel, for example.

i take it igf does this?  price ?  (legal paperwork was a given, didn't mean to imply a hack job!)

m60joe at m60joe.com can cut, thread and adapt a barrel for you without taking the barrel off.  He charges about $118 for the service. He does not do the remarking, or refinishing though.

By contrast:

Labor is typically $325 - $375 to remove a barrel and replace it.

A German MP5 barrel will cost $350 - $450.

Paddle mag, parts and labor typically go for $200 - $250.

Cost to restamp ~$125

Cost to refinish ~$200.

So, your options are ~1,200 for a complete SBR conversion, or ~$200 for a cut down barrel with adapter without a flapper mag release.  Or, anywhere in between ala carte.

I highly recommend you get the flapper mag release!!!!!!

Yes, IGF can do it all, but he cannot cut and adapt the barrel without removing it, I don't think.  I think there are only a few people who have the right jig.

I'm thinking of just getting an HKDUDE fake suppressor.  Though I do want a 'flapper'!

OT but I must ask, with the PDW length, why have a full stock instead of an A1 cap or folder?  How does one hold the front grip with the drum mag in place (I tend to think it's there only for picture purposes)?
