Does anyone know where I can buy  a few parts to customize my SW45?  I am looking for a short barrel (preferrably 3 lug & threaded), and a plastic lower.  I know these parts exist, but I am having trouble tracking them down.

I think you'll have to go directly with TopNotch.

My advise...  and you ain't gonna like it, is to sell that pig.

Sorry, just being truthful.

When I first got "that pig" it wouldnt go 2 rounds without a misfire.  I took it to a gunsmith who smoothed out the feed ramp and told me to pay him $20.  Since then I have put over 750 rounds through it without a single malfunction of any kind.  It takes brass case, nickle case and even dirty steel case wolf (over 300 in one session without a cleaning and no jams!)  I can't even say that of my bushmasters with that kind of ammo.  Yes - it is more reliable than my Bushmaster AR15s!!  That being said, and considering that it would be a one of kind MP5 style gun chambered in the potent .45ACP round, I want to turn it into a unique, bad ass SBR semi-auto SMG.

Can anyone help me find a 9" short barrel, preferrably 3 lug threaded, to put on here so I can reregister it as a class III build?

If all else fails, cut the barrel down, and htread it.  I'm not sure however if there are 1/2x28 by 3 lug adapters for 45 like there are for 9.

Heck, I don't recall any 3 lug cans in 45 either.

Top Notch used to advertise them on their website, so I know that they DO exist...somewhere.

Do your self a favor and check with Jayson at investmentgradefirearms.com and get his advise on what you want to have done. He does some of the best work around and does not look down on clones at all like many do. Not sure if thee is a short barrel for that model but it would be cheaper just to have it cut down and add an adapter to it to ues a three lug can if needed. You can also check over at HK-54.com it's TB site.
