Just got a shipment in of Surplus G3 magazines for my PTR91. l took them apart and cleaned them and most of them seem to be functionally in pretty good condition, but a couple have bad scratches and/or the paint is coming off (some are dated 1966!).  Can I just spray them with Flat or satin black krylon spray paint? I don't want the paint flaking off into the action of the gun, so maybe if I just spray a light coat on the bottom half of the mags.  I don't want to invest to much money or time into it, the mags are only like $3.00 each as your probably aware.
