Or do I have to use a hk93 stock? I want to put a brugger & thomet ump stock on my vector 53 but it says its for a mp5. I cant seem to find one for the 53/93 type rifles.

DSA lists the model 'BT20155' stock as "fitting" a 93.   (fitting is one thing, functioning is another)

B&T doesn't. (I'd go with B&T)

May main concern would be with the buffer, or lack there of, holding up under .223/5.56 forces.

The 93/33 stock is built for the gun, just as the MP5 stock is built for it. They should not be swapped on to 5.56 guns for the reason stated above. It might last for a while, but it isn't made to withstand the recoil.
