I've been considering a SL8 SBR project and converting it to a G36C in semi.  I've looked at exploded diagrams and parts list for both the SL8 and the G36C.... besides the rear of the trigger area, looks it could be done and be done with OEM HK parts because NFA is 922r exempt

THe barrel is free floated and the gas piston could changed to whatever you want it to be....

.... Does any one have a lead for a project like this...

with a FORM 1 SBR approved of coarse...

Check HKPRO.com under HKPRO MEMBERS' GALLERY.  Go to SL-8/G36C Clone Conversion.  A board member did a fantastic "C" conversion.  I happened to prefer the "K" variant myself.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/428SCJ/100_0877.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/428SCJ/100_1134.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/428SCJ/100_1028.jpg

Hey HKG36K have you considered a surefire forarm with the built in light, they look pretty cool and on the bottom is a rail for a grip (or whatever). And I love the Mk23    , must have cost a fortune
