Just a thought, but we have a couple of MP5 series subguns still kicking around the arory. I prefer the adjustable stock on my M4, as it allows you to set the length for one approriate for heavy armor.

The MP5 sliding stocks have two positions; fully extended, and fully collapsed. Why can't I just notch the stock in a couple more spots and add a few more lengths? Any thoughts on this?

Personally, I would be a bit leary of making too many cuts in the rails. That said, one of my shooting cronies did and it works fine, but he only made one extra notch. ie; three positions.
