What is the benefit of having a polymer lower for a G3 clone.  I might get a PTR91 and the one with a polymer lower costs considerably more.  Why is that??

It's no better...it's made in the U.S.and counts as a compliance part (grip) plus it subtracts one (trigger housing)part. I've got one just like it made by Top-Notch.I think it's the same.Cost about $100.I bought mine used saved $50.I acually like the feel of the standard grip better. I've got the standard PTR model, saved money and upgraded the furnature as I aquired extra cash. Also the PTR-91A1 comes with a wide forearm w/bipod.Thats why it cost more.
