I just received my Buffertech recoil buffer for my 91, and I am having a hell of a time trying to install it. I can't get the recoil pad of the stock to get to the screw back there. Is there any easy way to do this easily? I thought about taking a screw driver and prying it off, but I don't want to leave any marks on the gun. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is driving me nuts.

,,to get a 91/g3  plate off,, vise the plate(pad) and rock  back and forth,,its held on by clips... that grip the butt stock pin holes.
as for marks on the gun,,, butt stocks   for 91/g3's are a dime a dozen,,under 40 $ per set!
