I just found out the HK rep told Jim at The Bullet Hole that they have moved the HK 91 tooling from Brazil to the US and will begin production for domestic sales ASAP.

MSRP: Under $1000

Oh ya. :D

I think he is referring to this: www.jldenter.com/PTR-91%20Rifle.html

This rifle's receiver is made on tooling from Portugal (FMP).

HKs were never made in Brazil.

HKrazy,

You are correct. The HK Licensed tooling is from the closed FMP plant in Portugal.
JLD Enterprise owns the tooling and is manufacturing the PTR-91 rifles on the tooling.

We are the exclusive distributor of the receiver and now a distributor of the rifles.
We sell to FFL dealers only. Our new rifle we are offering is the PTR-91K carbine model.
This is a semi-auto civilian version of the G3K with a 16" barrel.
These rifle are the best 91 clone on the market being manufactured on HK Licensed tooling.
All rifles come with a case, trigger lock, 20 round mag., and a 1 year warranty.

We offer FFL dealers options like a flash hider, retractable stocks, carrying handle, port buffer,
sling and bi-pod. They come in green and black furniture.
Best regards,

Frank

If it's not real HK I won't be buying one.....too many problems with the clones overall.

Me either.  That's not an HK91 any more than a SpeShul WepUnz SW5 is an HK94.

Well more like a DSA FAL is an FN/FAL. Both are high quality and made to the same spec, one just happens to be an orginal.

What would be the general specs for this rifle?  Length, weight, etc.  Anyone know?

Looking for a diminutive .308 magazine fed rifle right now.
