Two thumbs up!

A few weeks ago I ordered an RF-94 from Ohio Rapid Fire. I send Todd several emails before ordering. He was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. I picked the rifle up a few days ago. Since then I have put about 700rds through it. It has ran like a dream. Can’t wait to get my sear.

It's interesting that an SW5 assembled by someone *other* than Special Weapons can be pretty damn sweet.

how much do they charge?  is that a fake can?
are SW welds there?

As to the second question... considering it wasn't built by SW, I'd say no.

It cost me $1525.00. The can is an AAC "Imatator" and it is fake, permanetely attached until I can form 1 the rifle. The barrel is already 3-lugged under the can. I have shot a post sample MP5 and I can not tell a difference in quality. The welds on this rifle look great, as good as a factory HK. I have never owned an SW made gun so I can not comment on the quality. I will never own an SW built gun because of all the negative feedback that I have heard. That is all I want to say about that because I do not want to get involved in the whole Special Weapons soap opera.

i shot a FA (post sample) sw5 in sept and the welds looked horrible.  it was fun to shoot..when it worked.

Nice looking rifle.

Did I help pay for it? If so I need to put a few rounds though it

PVFD304,

You can shoot it anytime. The funds from the CZ went into the general gun fund. The RF-94 was put on the 0% interest rate credit card.

I got myRF94 from Todd about a year ago. Great service, quality and price. I'm a LEO and this was the only way I could afford an "MP5" on our wages. I have used H&K's and find no difference in quality or reliability. I will do any room entry with my RF94 without reservation.   Sid

R14, real transferable FA mp5's are around 10-14k.  if you know of one for 8k you'd be a fool not to buy it.  a fool i tell you!

Is that an older Special Weapons receiver?  I was under the belief that all the newer ones had a 3 sling loop on the magwell.

hg112,

Sweet looking firearm.  I am also in the market for an MP5 clone.  How does it shoot??  Accurate??  This gun was hand put together by Ohio Rapid Fire right?

Thanks

I have about 1500 rounds through it now. It is very accurate. The rifle has really started to loosen up and get broken in. I shot two post sample mp5s the other day and aside from the weight difference, because of the suppressor, the quality is on par with a German gun. I am not sure about the sling loops.
