I am very interested in a Vector V-53 SBR, but one question how does the modified S-E-F lower fit the would be front take down pin of a machine gun?

The conversion of the grip housing is done by first shaving the inside of the ears to allow the housing to glide over the outside of the receiver shelf, then the front of the housing is slot cut to allow the housing to sit/lock into the receiver shelf.   A pivot pin is cut and glued to make the lower look as if it was attached to the receiver by the pivot pin. The receiver of the SBR is stilled shelved, and not the pivot MG type.

P.S. If your plan is to convert, the registered sears on the market are designed around a converted pack that uses the shelved (semi FCG housing), since drilling the pivot hole of any rifle would be making a New Machine gun, and not just the old rifle being a host for the registered part.
