There is no bolt hold open device on a HK roller gun except for MP5/40 or 10mm and G41.
Thus HK teaches if you ran the gun dry, take a knee or cover, pull the cocking handle back and up, dump the empty mag, insert a new mag and slam the cocking lever back into battery. come back out of cover and continue to fight. |

Load two or three tracer rounds into the botom of the magazine.
That's the only way not to run dry. "Are you feeling lucky, punk? In all this excitement, I have lost count of how many shots I have fired..." says uncle Clint. |

Heck when I got mine I thought the charging handle was on wrong. "Should this be on the left? Shouldn't it be on the right?" I understand what HK is up to, but it's still a daffy setup in my opinion-great gun though!
