Saw the new (?) line of Vector 33/53/93 products at Knob Creek yesterday and they were the show stealers, in my opinion. Read in earlier post on this site that they are not affiliated with 'Special Weapons'. If this is so, where will they be available to public? Does Vector have website? Need more info.
Thanks, -GWM-

Larry, if your V53 works well, then I guess I'm up for a V33 clone. I'd trade my AR-15 for one and scrap the .223 AK if it's as good as everyone is making it out to be. People at Knob Creek were raving about it, and I rather have a H&K 33 clone than a G3 clone, since I prefer the .223 cartridge for the rather short range shooting I do.

LarryG36: Don't know who's table these guns were on, but the full length V33 was really nice. I'm not into paying the goverment $200.00 for the SBR permit and giving them the extra priviledges that a Class III permit allows them. That's why the full length 33 caught my eye. Any possibility you have any pics of that version.
I'm gonna check with Shooters Supply in Louisville, Ky. and see if they have any plans to become distributors for Vector. They usually pick up on the hot items.
Kills me to think I passed up an HK 93 w/ 10-40 round magazines for $650.00 (about 30 years ago in Lexington, Ky.) Time sure does tell.
Thanks -GWM-

I would be interested in "Beater" kind of V33 clone as well. Good velocity from 18.9" barrel, cheap to shoot, good enough for its iron sight's effective range. (actually I hope they would make V91)

I just talk to Vector, they told me the 93/33 will be on the market as soon s they can secure a quality barrel for it.  they are using new US made barrel as part of the US parts count.

See more information at HKPRO.com.  Recently: Reciever on the first 200 may be sub standard and recalled for refinishing.  Won't go into the politics of HK vs Clone you can read for yourself...
I wouldn't mind having one or two about the house!

Check out OhioRapidfire.com for some more HK clones.

Rocketman 223; I was at Rapid Fire yesterday and did check out Todd's RFV 33. It was every bit as impressive as the Vector. I liked his muzzle brake better than the standard. Not pictured on the website, but heavier.

Good grief. I guess I am better off with a .223 AK. This sounds like more trouble than it's worth.

Please don't misunderstand.  I'm not in any way qualified to comment on the quality of either weapon either independently or in comparison to the HK.  I'm passing on what was posted at HKPRO.com for those who might seek an additional source of information.  Personally I think it is great that someone, anyone, is bringing the HK style rifles to the public at a reasonable cost.  I couldn't touch a HK-94 which I've seen priced at over $3000 but an SW5 or V53for about $1200
gets serious consideration.
As long as they are fun I'm all for it!

I must have lucked out because my receiver came out perfect.  I received one of the first thirty I believe.  Sure its not an HK, of which I have a few, including an MP5K.  But still pretty nice.

I think around $1,300.  Check out the vector web site listed above for details.  Also check out tactical weapons web site for some HK clones chambered in the AK caliber (7.62X39) for $700 and up.  Those will take AK mags and/ or drums depending on the model.

Vector Arms has about 140 people on a waiting list for the V53, including me.  Johna said it would be about 3-4 months before mine would be built (number 131).  Just a heads up in case you wanted the rifle now.  OhioRapidFire said they had some already pre-built and ready for shipment.

Ronin,

Any chance you would be interested in trading your mp5k for $27 and a Virginia ham?

Group buy schedule thread, IIRC. He ordered one and is waiting to try it before he commits.
