Is there a fix for a bolt hold open that has a loose foot?

Don’t have the part in my hand so I can’t get a good look at it.

I'm assuming it was just installed incorrectly.

It happens on well-used models. Common fix is to stake the end of the BHO to take up the gap between that bottom and the foot.

I have used low-temp silver solder.

I’ll try both ideas. Going to try to find a new one as a backup. Thanks

That was my first thought also but none in stock.
Going to get new one from another source and keep loose one as a spare.
