What country is my barrel from?

I recentley purchased a barrel from e-gunparts, it is 21", parkarized, and is chrome lined. They say it is also a licensed manufacture from FN. Right now I think it is either from Argentina or Brazil, but there are no markings that I can find on the barrel. Does anyone know where these barrels come from or where I can find any identifiers on the barrel it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If it is chrome lined it is most likely Argentine or Brazillian. If the muzzle is not threaded, it is most likely a German G1. If the gas block has open ears it is certainly Argentine.

In any case, a very good barrel.

It does have open ears gas block, bipod cut, and has a threaded barrel. So signs is pointing to Argentine. Thanks.

Look on the shoulder for this mark. It's Argentinian proof mark. I'm guessing the incomplete "X" is a inspectors mark.

Does it have a serial number marked on it (the barrel)?, if so, does it start with a 0? if so, chances of your barrel was made in argentina are very high, is it also painted or just parked?

There are no visual markings on the barrel at all or serial number. It is just parked.

It may have no markings if it is a totally new barrel. If it is not marked, it is tough to tell where it is from for sure.....but......your barrel is from Argentina. An excellent barrel.
