I think I've tracked down the cause of my FTFs.   Since it seems the bolt overrides the rim of the cartridge without feeding it fully I'm thinking the mags arent pushing the rounds up fast enough.   Where's the best place to buy new  mag springs or maybe NIW mags?   I'd like to have a new one or two to see if that's the whole problem.   Any suggestions?   My portugese surplus even had a couple malfunctions.   Never an FTE yet just FTFs.

Somehow I doubt the problem lies in the mag springs - I've yet to have an FAL mag spring cause me a difficulty yet - out of about 30 surplus FAL mags, that is... I'd look elsewhere if I were you... How do the mags fit in the mag well??? How many mags do you have???

well i have 4 mags that have that problem, in 5 differnt Fals. so it could be.  is the bolt worn? i just set those mags to the side. i have enough mags and at 7 bucks for a niw mag, its almost cheaper to buy new mags.
