I have IMR 4895 and Ramshot Tac, Sierra 168 MK along with Fed GL 215m primers and new Winchester Brass. Does anybody have any experience using these components in a m1a or any other load for that matter. I am especially interested in the OAL.
Thanks

Trim brass to 2.005" and go to a 2.80 for OAL.

IMR 4895 is a old proven powder and is hard to beat. sent you email

I shoot Master class in High Power with a standard M1A and i use 39.5gr Varget(2390fps) for my 200 and 300yd loads LC cases trimmed to 2.010" 168gr SMK's and a OAL of 2.85" and CCI200 primers. For the 600yd relays i use 42.2gr Varget same case and length and primer but with a 175gr SMK. Velocity is 2550 average. The light load i use for the short relays, while off the lower end of Sierra's charts, works... It has a nice low recoil and it works!!! The 600yd load is hot but not a max load. if you are interested in 1000yd shoots.. 44.0gr of Varget is used with a 175gr SMK and a OAL of 2.90" for a velocity of 2675fps on the average.
