Would like to see a polymer E2 stock.  Nothing fancy, just a copy of the original (minus the forward grip).

Because there really isn't any demand and the price point would be too high...........

AFAIK, the E2 stock, in conjunction with a lot of other items, was intended to make the M-14 reasonably accurate in hand-held full-auto mode.

For the most part, this failed to work as desired.  No expert, but I've never heard of an M1A owner stating that his E2 stock was better than a good wooden stock, or a good GI syn stock.

The slip-over, drilled, GI muzzle comp works pretty well as regards keeping the muzzle down during hand-held rapid-fire, if you can find GI examples.  Take them off at dark, because they defeat the flash-suppressor feature on the rifle.

The trigger squeeze is a big one, and you identified the difference exactly. The M14 was a descendant of the M1 and the grip of the rifle means the trigger is designed to be squeezed at more a diagonal when compared tot eh M16 family which was designed from the begining to be pullsed straight back. This was noted when the Army retrofitted M14's with the Sage chasis. Navy EBR's all came with a trigger shoe that changed the geometry of the trigger to make the squeeze more natural.
