planing on upgrading the scope on my M1A, primary use of this rifle is deer hunting.

currently had a $199 Luepold 3-9X40 VXII

i want.... VXIII 4.5-14X40
linky

listed at $529

cant decide if i want the boone and crocket rectical though...

last year shot one buck in the woods, thick brush, 30 yards, the year before shot one other end of field, ~285 yards. really had to lob that one in there! clean kill though.

opinions? i dont think the jump from 3.0-4.5 is that large when close range, but the extra 4X on the top end would be SWEET in the fields...

is that a good website to order from?

do i want the boone and crocket rectical?

would sportsmans warehouse be a better choice to get it from? i have one right by me.

thanks!
