Just realized the thread pitch on the Vortex flash hider I bought from Smith Ent. has USGI funky thread pattern; .595x32, anyone know where to get a die to cut this unique thread pattern?

My searches have been fruitless.

Actually the threads are 9/16 x 32 TPI. The 0.595 value you measured is the 'high' point, or major diameter, of the threads. The major diameter + minor diameter divided by two = 9/16. BTW, I own  this die.

Ron at Smith Ent. gave me the dimension. I am a manual machinist, and I had never heard of it, but later realized he gave me figure probably based on cutting on my lathe, I don't want to pull the barrel, lame I know, so the figure you give makes perfect sense.

Very new to M14, but having fun learning.
