CMP has a SA service grade with current price of $1465. I looked at the data sheet and other than the fact it has a serial # in the 6 million range, nothing stands out as unique about this service grade. Is it bringing the premium just because of the serial #. The data sheet says the bore is not shiney. What am I missing?

the "X" preceding the serial number denotes a special batch...from the description it appears to be a NM rifle.

not trying to flame here, but anything brings a premium on the CMP auction,
i think they could sweep the floor and get $1000 easy, (well maybe $500)

they have a well deserved rep for quality, and integrity
folks pay extra for that
