Well I asked this question over at Snipershide and apparently they are not fond of the M1A for some reason.  My problem is that I want to put QD rings on it with a "decent" scope for those occasions that I want to shoot a bit further than I can see with irons.  I have a Remington, VSF with an LTR barrel on it that i use for precision that has a Leupold 3.5 - 10 with M1 knobs, lighted reticle, etc.  The m1a already has  an ARMS "split" mount, see below.

I'm not looking for precision, just battlerifle good using quality surplus, and holding zero.

Right now leaning towards a super sniper, but I kind of wonder if the leupold would work better on the m1a and getting a more powerful for the remington, though.

No suggestions huh?

Anyway, I found some Badger QD rings for it, now I just need a scope.  Due to the vast amount of info that a scope holding zero on an M1A just don't happen, is why I am leaning toward either a fixed 10x Super Sniper, or maybe some other "cheaper" scope.  Suggestions?
