What I have gathered from Wikipedia:
"The sniper versions, introduced in WWII, were also used in Korea and part of Vietnam." and "Most variations of the Garand never saw duty, with the exception of the sniper variants. The sniper versions were Garands modified to accept scope mounts, and from this came two systems. These are M1C (formerly the M1E7) and M1D (formerly the M1E8). However, neither were produced in significant quantities during the second World War. The only difference between the two versions is the mounting system for the telescopic sight" So, i guess they had SOME in WWII... Since you said you shoot it.....how does it shoot? What kinda groups are you able to achieve and what ammo do you push through it? Just wondering because I really want one of my own. |

Shouldnt there be an entrance exam. Its almost like they don't teach the fundamentals at airsoftarmy.com at all any more.

Punani: Nice rifle.
If you're going to buy that rifle, be sure to double-check it was an authentic M1D/M1C. Many people have assembled one by buying pieces and assembling them. BTW: I have an unfired by me M1D, I was lucky enough to be drawn by the CMP lottery. All of the acessories are still in the brown paper bags. All of the M1Cs were auction off in the thousands of dollars range, which is way too rich for my blood. |

Don't know what he paid, I don't think it was very much. He lives in Europe, so stuff like this tends to be more pricey over there.

I know what you mean. I paid "only" $1,200 for my M1D from the CMP/DCM. I couldn't even begin to afford the rarer and better built M1Cs. Even the cheaper M1Cs went for something like $3,000 and from there the sky was the limit. Thanks for sharing. |

That is just copied and pasted. I never was trying to say at the beginning of WWII there were many types of Garands. There is more to the quote than what you just decided to cut out. That specific section that you caught on to refers to Garands in general used throughout other wars such as korea and so forth. |
