I've bought several from the CMP over the last few years and have been very happy with all of them. Where in IL are you?, The CMP has a store at Camp Perry, OH. and may be close enough for you to drive over and pick one out right off the rack, They also have M1903 Springfield's for sale as well, But those you almost have to handpick, many are well used. The M1's on the other hand, depending on what grade you get, most are in decent shape, I'd reccommend a Field grade,if you decide to go to Perry, or Service grade if buying through the mail sight unseen. either way, they'll get you a decent rifle.

It gets sent right to your home!

Or, better yet, go to the CMP store if you can and pick one out in person....
