Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How can you tell if a Garand stock is WWII authentic?

Besides the cartouche's which can be faked.  I looked in Scott Duff's book but could not find anything.  Someone told me to look for straight clip latch edges but someone else said they switched to beveled @ the 1.5mil range.
