When a vendor says their part is USGI, does that mean it was

A) Made to USGI spec with regard to material, dimentions, heat treatment, etc?

Or

B) The part is surplus taken from a demilled rifle from the U.S. arsenal?

USGI means United States Government Issue.

That means something owned and issued by the government, NOT "made to government specs".
