About 10 years back I purchased a SA M1A NM.
It was a great gun and after about 5 years of shooting I sent it in for rebedding and to replace the barrel with a Heart heavy barrel.

It’s been 5 more years and while I would like to send it back to SA for a checkup.  The gun works fine.  I just want someone to go thru it and make sure it is still ok but I am now worried they will screw it up.

If your are worried just have someone local check the headspace.

There is no need to send it to them for anything except warranty work.

I would not trust the bastards with anything of mine.

Agreed. Send it back for warranty work only.
For a check-up I suggest WarBird

i think i will buy a set of gauges and do the work myself.
for the price of shipping i can almost justify the expense.

thanks

+1 for Warbird. I would not let Springfield touch anything unless it was under warranty and then it would have to be a pricey repair at that.
