Which stock? - AR15.COM

Is the fiberglass stock offered by Springfield dimensionally the same as a fiberglass G.I. stock?

I would like to know if a different stock would make my M-1A handle better for me. The wood on it is 'thick.'

I also know that fit on these is important.

The Springfield Armory, Inc. black crinkle stock is a USGI synthetic stock with the selector cutout filled in and the black crinkle stuff sprayed on. The black crinkle stuff chips off easily.

Alan, order a $45 synthetic from Fred. You will be very happy. I just got one, it is awesome.

The wrist or pistolgrip of the USGI fiberglass stock is noticeably thinner than the wooden stock, even though it is much stronger. This is an asset if you have to wear gloves when shooting.

Agree with Different in that bedding is not normally required.
