Can anyone tell me is the barrel diameter on a Mini14-Tactical -5.56 the same as a Mini30 Tactical ?

Based on the pictures on the Ruger website for the tactical models, the 300 blackout model is similar in diameter to the Mini-30 Tactical and all the .223 caliber tacticals have a smaller diameter.

Barrel diameter of older Min-30s were bigger, but I thought new Tacticals of either caliber are .750" forward of the gas block.

got both side by side, new this year. 30 is thicker

I didn't check with caliper but both are .750 at the gas block, the 30 just has very little taper after that.
