Some might remember my thread about a cheap alternative to engraving.  Well today I got a chance to test out the new deer/hog slayer.  I shot 20 rounds of PNW 147 grain and 20 rounds of Remington 220.  They both functioned flawlessly.  The homemade can is pretty dang quiet with the subs.

I followed the guide in our suppressor forum to do the Form 1 can.

Dremel engraved lower+maglite suppressor+mag held together with electrical tape=great success.

My fellow 3 Gunners will get the magazine ;)

Would be awesome if somebody came out with a pistol grip that had the "Rubbermaid" logo stamped across the handle.

Upper:$30

Lower:$33

Free Float Tube:$100

Barrel with gas block and tube:$110

LPK: already had

Supressor materials: $100ish

Scope and mount: $150

BCG: $59

Charging handle: $free

So just over $400 for the rifle rifle.  Add in the optic and two tax stamps and still under a grand for a handy deer rifle that will put 5 shots under 2 inches at 100 yards.  I think the accuracy could be improved with some better ammo

Is this a joke?

Why in the world would you do it with a dremel instead of paying IDENT or Orion $50 to do it and it looking professional?

This is ARFCOM, extra points for throwing it down the driveway. You want that simulated battle worn look.
