We all love the AR15 and its variants or else we wouldn't be here. But, some of us also have other firearm loves. I suggest a tacked picture thread for non-AR SBRs so one doesn't need to wade through 50+ pages of countless AR15s just to hopefully find that one picture of a gun that might resemble the project they want to undertake. You know, guns such as Krinks, Sterlings, HKs, Tommy Guns, etc.

Not very exciting I know.
Who doesn’t have a Turkish Mauser 450 Bushmaster 9” SBR...? This gun was built for the sole purpose of blowing up watermelons.   I screwed off the original barrel and replaced it with a Rhineland Arms 450 Savage style barrel after having it cut and threaded just past the stock. The K98 stock was sold “for parts” and was a complete pile, so I sanded it down, filled several holes (to include the takedown hole) and inletted it for the Timney 3# trigger and larger barrel before refinishing it with Danish Oil. The cheek riser is for a tube-gun chassis (required to use the red-dot), and the scope base probably cost more than anything else on the gun. I blame zombie movies for what you see here. |
