Found one locally I can get for under $430. Looks to be in great shape.

Not an AE model. 20" barrel. Saddle ring on it. Does not have safety.

I think the SN was around 4.1 Million??

It has the word MAG on the underside of the receiver. Looks to be Factory.

It has been drilled for a peep sight on the side of the receiver and has screws in it. Looks factory.

Anyone know much about these? Any problems with them?

I would put it at 90% plus.

Any reviews on it would be appreciated.

My wife has one to go with her Model 29.Hers has a Lyman 'peep' sight on it.It IS factory drilled/tapped for that.
I've never really worked up a super accurate load for it but it would be easily accurate enough for deer at 100/125 yards or  so....

I have a 16" Trapper AE.  No problem with stove piping or jamming.

A lot of fun plinking steel with light target loads.

I've also used it for whitetail hunting.

I looked at one at the gun show this past weekend a 16 inch version. The guy wanted $500 but it was rough and had some ugly rust spots . He would not deal and took it home

Good deal.   Had one years ago.   Worked fine.   Parts are a bit of trouble.
