I need to put a hidden camera in my rental property wash room. some jackass has smashed open the washer coin box 2X in the last 6 months. they get a few bucks-3-6$ tops, but it does hundreds in damage between labor and time.
i have changed all the locks to rule out a previous tenant and added security cameras to the common area, but i want footage of who is doing it so i can file police charges and evict.
what cameras do you guys recommend? smaller is better as i would like to hide it. the washers are in the furnace room so there is plenty of space to hide it and be a dozen yards away from the washers. or a smoke detector camera would work too as those dont really stick out all that much.

i would like a camera that either records to internal storage and only needs power or one that has wifi to send out motion. I dont want to run ethernet to this as that would attract attention with wires going to its location

what do you guys use?

The ring camera is easy plug and play. It is motion activated, battery operated, but the battery is internal and must be charged with the unit.
The ring camera does have a delay of a few seconds before it begins recording, but video is stored in a cloud, which costs $3 a month.
The battery life depends on the use, but this can be negated by leaving it plugged in or using their solar charger.
They will also replace a stolen camera as long as a police report is filed.
