My Securam has been acting up. I enter the correct code and get the 3 beeps meaning incorrect code. It's done this a few times before but always opened. I ended up having to call Cannon today because after having replaced the battery 3 times, I still couldn't get in.
Cannon had me remove the battery and unplug the 4 pin cable (accessed by removing the keypad from the door, just push up). I pressed several of the buttons just to make sure any energy in the pad stored by capacitance was gone then reassembled and waited 2 minutes. It opened right up.
It's a 2011 model safe and Cannon is sending an updated parts kit with new pad, locking mechanism, etc. free of charge.
I access the safe 4-6 times per day, so a mechanical just isn't going to happen. For others like me - dump the Securam asap. Your safe maker may help you with it, so give them a call.
